For their early summer wedding, Carlee + Anthony wanted to create a beautiful reception space with Bridgerton vibes. They gravitated toward a unique sea blue color and shades of purple, but were otherwise open and eager to explore unique design ideas. We knew we wanted to elegantly combine the regal architecture of the space with more modern touches, such as the black chiavari chairs of their reception venue. The color palette our design team crafted was grounded in the sea blue hue, with cool pinks, purples, and a touch of yellow.

A lacy sea blue linen grounded the reception design. It paired beautifully with the black dining chairs. We added other touches of black to the table through modern flatware and acrylic table numbers. The floral brought the desired Bridgerton aesthetic. Various styles of lush centerpieces were used throughout the dining space, made up of mostly local floral to create the perfect garden feel. To add dimension and drama, large arrangements were placed between the reception doors, in front of the escort display, and hung from the balconies.

Upon entry to cocktail hour, guests were greeted with signature cocktails selected by the couple - an espresso martini and sangria. Live music by a string quartet and pianist added to the vibe with modern songs played on traditional instruments.

As guests transitioned into the dining space, we made subtle changes to a traditional wedding timeline to give the reception a modern feel. Guests were served salads before the couple made their grand entrance and kicked off the night with spotlight dances. Following dinner, the couple wanted to start the party as soon as possible. Diamond Empire Band kept people on the dance floor all night, with the ever-popular light up foam sticks adding to the party vibe all night long.
